Here’s a little secret about me…
I have been obsessed with the Anne of Green Gables movies since I was 8 years old! I can honestly say that I have seen the first two movies over 40 times and I can almost quote them word for word!
“Tomorrow is alway fresh, with no mistakes in it…”
For those of you who aren’t familiar with the whole Anne of Green Gables series…they actually are based on a series of 7 books by Lucy Maud Montgomery where she chronicles the life and adventures of Anne Shirley, a young red headed orphan girl on Prince Edward Island. As I kid, I poured myself into these books and movies & secretly longed to have red hair.
And now I totally get what Anne Shirley was saying all along…I don’t understand why everyone around me is growing up?! Oh Anne Shirley, you will always be a kindred spirit!

i remember watching this movie with my mum and we both loved it. i have been meaning to track a copy down as a mothersday gift.

I love Anne of Green Gables -but who doesn´t : ) I read all the books & have seen all episodes. And I am looking forward to the day where my daughters are old enough to read them as well. Lucy Maud Montgomery really knew how to paint pictures in her readers minds : )

A pleasant blast from the past! Reading Anne of Green Gables made me very fascinated with Prince Edward Islands.
Me too! My best friend and I are planning on going out there this time next year…that is what partially made me want to write this post! :)
